It is interesting how things can change in just a matter of weeks or days. Last time I took Maeryn to a playground, she was still super-shy. Today, she was saying ‘hi’ to everybody and came up to me smiling and bouncing when she made a new friend who was interested in her squeaky shoes. And we now no longer want a grown-up up to come with us to the toilet (at home anyway). This is all great! Going up a shoe size almost literally overnight, though…less good. All-new shoe wardrobe for upcoming travel!

(which is…this week, as we’ll be in the UK for three-and-a-half days. This time, we won’t even be approaching Bicester, as we’ll be in London and Sheffield. We’ll be home a lot longer in December, I promise!)
