A walking study in demonology

Courtney Love, Liverpool, 1982

As I haven’t been feeling all that well this weekend, it has been a time of picking a book from the bookshelves and disappearing. Saturday was Dave Haslam’s short exploration of Courtney Love’s time in Liverpool. Whereupon you learn, amongst everything else, that she may have been one of the first Americans to visit the Haçienda, she never did the washing up, may have stolen a coat that originally belonged to Mark E. Smith…and her father may have introduced Ecstasy to Liverpool one weekend.

Next week: more baking. Because IT’S AUTUMN AND THAT’S WHAT WE DO.
